This website is designed to provide residents (and volunteers of first-responder groups) with information about our Sun City Center Disaster Emergency Plans.

Residents are advised to monitor local TV/Radio stations for specific notices and announcements during emergency situations.  

None of the plans or programs included in this website are intended to replace directives issued by County, State, or Federal Emergency Management Groups or uniformed officials.

In Emergency Situations, the Sun City Center Emergency Squad Public Information Officer [PIO] will issue any/all announcements to the media.

Information for Residents can be accessed using the GREEN link buttons on the left of the screen. Please note:

·        Sun City Center is not located in an evacuation zone

·        You need to have an ‘emergency kit’ with a 3 days supply of water, food, and medications

·        You can help by joining one of Sun City Center’s volunteer first-responder groups

Hillsborough County has one of the best-staffed and equipped County Emergency Operations Centers [EOC] in the United States. Honed by constant drill and by practical experience gained on-site during Hurricane Katrina, the County EOC staff and County volunteer organizations stand ready to respond to all emergency situations.
