Hello, my name is Richard (Rick) S. Levine.  As a classic video game developer, I programmed Mattel Electronics handheld Bowling and designed and developed Microsurgeon, Truckin', and PBA Bowling for Mattel Intellivision -- oh yeah, Microsurgeon for the Texas Instruments 99/4a computer too.

IMDB has movie, cast, director and other film related information.  But did you know that they also have video game credits?  I recently figured out how to add to the data in IMDB, so I'm now credited as the designer and programmer of "Kids on Site".  Just visit IMDB and search on "Richard S. Levine".  I hope to add more of my credits as I figure out how to add new titles, etc.

In March 2008, I gave an interview regarding working at Imagic, and a few years ago I attended the 2003 Classic Gaming Expo in Las Vegas.

In 1985, while working at RCA Labs in Princeton, NJ, I worked on the team that developed Digital Video Interactive (later sold to Intel) -- the first technology to play digital video on a compact disc.  Working with media and video created by Bank Street College of Education in New York and RCA (and several consultants), I helped program an interactive video game, "Palenque".  The two weeks we spent in Palenque, Mexico was probably the most interesting business trip I ever took.  The game featured narration by the character C.T., the same character used in Bank Street's "Voyage of the Mimi" series.  Do you know who played 12 year old C.T.?  It was the now famous Ben Affleck!

I've been a teacher, video game developer, and a software engineer, but lately I have been trying my hand at writing.  Go here to see a list of my published short stories and poetry.  I am a member of the online Critters writing workshop.

I'm a part time mathematics tutor.  I also like to think I'm an pretty good amateur Genealogist, specializing in the United States Southeast and Southwest, Poland and Sweden (with some experience for Turkey and other areas surrounding Poland).

On these pages which I will update from time to time, you'll find out where I've been and where I'm going. You'll also find various classic gaming links related to my games.
