Clearwater Beach

ALWAYS USE SAFETY EQUIPMENT WHEN INLINE SKATING

Clearwater Beach affords a relatively short amount of skating along paved beach paths, parking lots and sidewalks. But if you include the mile stretch along the Memorial Causeway you can double the potential milage.

If you park on the causeway you can skate right to Clearwater Beach. The north side of the causeway is a sidewalk with rather smooth cement slabs and the south side has a somewhat rough asphalt path.

If you're a diehard skater consider the Clearwater/Bellair Loop, what I call an Adventure Skate. Basically, follow the Memorial Causeway toward the downtown Clearwater and turn right (south). Go past the golf courses and take the Bellair Causeway to Gulf Blvd and turn right (north) to Clearwater Beach. I've been told it's about 18 miles, I believe it's closer to 14 miles.
