the official website of Drew Ross and his world-renowned training
center in Orlando, FL. Drew believes that good slalom technique,
like a well-honed golf swing, is not only the product of years of
careful attention and devotion. It is unmistaken in the eyes of
others, and a source of tremendous envy. At Drew's, we aim to
instill in our clients a superior, yet simplistic understanding of
this incredibly complex event. A keen eye of scrutiny has allowed
Drew to re-evaluate the traditional norms of slalom skiing and
instruction, and has culminated in Drew's innovative approach in
both equipment and technical aspects. With what WaterSki Magazine
has called "some of the finest conditions on the planet," Drew
offers slalom skiers the opportunity to truly optimize their
progress, and ultimately enjoyment of the sport. From The Airport

located West Orlando, just north of Disney. We are in the Isles of
Lake Hancock development, which features two man-made lakes (one of
which Drew operates on) with crystal-clear, bright blue water,
creating the most ideal slalom conditions anywhere... How many
slalom passes does at set consist of? At Drew's, we do not intend to
restrict a skier's time on the water. We understand that clients are
here because they love to ski!! However, wasted passes beyond the
point of fatigue are to nobody's benefit. Typically, six passes
provides the best balance between progression and fatigue,
particularly during performance sets. Occasionally, during sets of
repetition and conditioning, eight passes makes sense. What do I
need to bring? Bring as much personal equipment as possible, as
personal is familiar. If there is equipment that I need, can I get
it there? Yes, between Drew and Performance Ski and Surf, our local
retailer of all great ski equipment, essentially everything you will
need can be found conveniently here in Orlando. Drew takes four to
six students daily, and incorporates his own training, and that of
other pros who train with Drew, with coaching students. It gives
each student a first-hand opportunity to actually train with the
pros, and witness the most innovative technical approaches to our
event in action. All instruction techniques directed by Drew. Our
typical day consists of an 8-10:30 am start (depending on season),
with each skier taking two sets before lunch. At noon, some go down
the street to the golf course for lunch, and talk about the morning
sessions. After lunch, back to the lake for those taking a third
set, wrapping up between 1:30 and 2:30. For those who are keen, a
little golf in the afternoon is always a possibility. Thomas Moore

Thomas is driving, training, and coaching at Drew’s. Not only is he
a great slalom skier but a very good coach. Orange County National
Golf Center and Lodge features a lodge, where Drew has a negotiated
rate, which includes unlimited play on the short course, and
discounted rates for the championship course. Inquire if interested
- it is a nice, clean place to stay, just a mile from the lake, and
includes breakfast. Drew has a negotiated partnership with OCN of $5
off seasonal rate per night. Please be sure to mention that you are
with the Drew Ross
o of some of the worlds top men and women skiers the viewer will gain valuable insight into the mechanics of proper slalom skiing. Academy to receive this discount.
