A United Sates Fish and Wildlife Service Sanctuary for Manatees. Wide stretches of the
river have been designated for people to watch and swim with the Sea Cows. The main spring
feeds crystal clear water into the river at 72 degrees all year round, and during the
winter when the Manatees scatter the main spring is still a great place to swim

Drive, south of Inverness. Right at the first stop sign (Old Floral City Road), 2 miles on

Fort Island Trail Park - 14 acres located at the Parks
and Recreation Administration Facility. In Crystal River, turn west off Hwy 19 onto Hwy 44
West. (Turn at Plantation Inn Resort traffic light).
Hernando Beach - Off Hwy 41, this 3-acre park and beach
has picnicking, fishing, and a playground.
