                             Gulfport  - Mr. Joseph Page, Jr., 59, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, in Gulfport.

                                  Mr. Page was a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport.  He was a retired self-employed contractor.  He was a Catholic.

                                  He was preceded in death by his parents, Opal Andrews Page and Joseph Page Sr.; and a brother, Glen Page.

                                  Survivors include his wife, Alice Faye Gettler Page of Gulfport; two stepsons, David Myers of Gulfport and Timothy Myers of San Bernardino, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Cindy Ferguson of Pasadena, Texas, five sisters, Brenda Taylor, Linda Hayes and Jackie Stiver, all of Gulfport, Millie Marie of Dallas and Alice Pardue of Booneville, three brothers, Nelson Page of Poplarville, Frankie Page of New Orleans and Calvin Varnado of McAllen, Texas; and eight grandchildren.

                                  Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, U.S. 49 North, Gulfport.  A service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gulfport.  Burial will be in Free Church of God Cemetery on Three Rivers and O'Neal Road in Gulfport.
