This item is a property of the Blackdagger from uncountable generations, and it also gave the name to the family. It's a +4 to hit and damage weapon, which generates around the hilt a sort of unseen force field which acts as a magical shield, giving +4 to the AC of the user. The dagger protects completely from all light-based attacks, and if it hits a creature particularly vulnerable to darkness such as a light elemental it inflicts twice the maximum damage possible and must roll a ST versus death or die immediately. When the dagger hits, the target must roll a ST versus spells or become blind for as many rounds as the damage inflicted.

This Dagger is God made and enchanted. The blade will pass the owner's 'thumb-test' (thumb over thumb down the blade, it should be an equal number with no extra blade remaining). The dagger has the following abilities: By it's power you can dispatch a man by simply stabbing his footprints or shadow. If you hold the point near fire and move the blade, the flame will follow the point. From it's tip you can command wasps to attack. These wasps are intelligent and can speak with the owner of the dagger. By squeezing the blade the owner can get drinkable water (1 serving) upto 3 times a day. If the owner is in danger (or perceives himself in danger) the dagger will rattle in it's sheath. If the owner's perceptions are strong enough the blade may attack on it's own (DM should control this action). If powers of the dagger are used unnecessarily or for display, the dagger could turn against the owner (DM should make a check to determine). The dagger is no more intelligent then it's owner, it's neither good or evil, benign or malicious.

Description: This is a +3 dagger that acts like a dagger of throwing, has the ability to cure serious wounds (as per spell) once per day, can create sunbursts once per day (causing 1d8 points of damage to all undead in it's range.) can kill a vampire as if it was a stake, can kill a lycanthrope as if it were silver, and for every vampire and lycanthrope it kills it can cure vampirism and lycanthrope. Appearance It looks like a normal silver dagger about a foot and a half long with a jeweled hilt and a leather handle. Once it is in the hands of it's owner the owner acquires the following abilities. Invisibility to undead once per day, speak with dead once per day, and can cast light one per day. The owners eyes become glowing red, and their skin becomes pale, but otherwise the owner is fine.
