Sturdy axes of fine Dwarven craftsmanship lean and hang from several pegs, their wickedly sharpened edges glint in the morning light. Handles made from every type of material possible cast long shadows against the wall. |

| Baphomet Battle Axe
(Created & Submitted by Fillipo) The minotaur god gives this weapon only to a few servants. It's an enormous axe, but it is still light enough to be used with a single hand by a person with 18/00 strength or plus. Its blade is made of a metal which emits eerie reddish reflexes and its handle is of finely worked ebony with the symbols of Baphomet. It's a +4 battle axe to hit and damage and to the critical hit chance (it causes a critical hit with a 16 or more hit roll). It also casts a dispel magic (as if cast by an eighth level character) to any spell effect it touches. |

| Ulath's
Axe ( 1,500 XP value )(Taken from Bill Schwartz, Level 7.7
Dungeon Master Extraordinare web page) To all tests, this axe appears to be a Battle Axe +2, and radiates faintly of Enchantment magic. However, when the user comes into combat with a troll, it becomes a Battle Axe +2, +5 vs. Troll and Troll-kin. For every hit that is struck to a regenerating creature ( be it because of magical spells, magical items, regeneration due to high constitution, natrual regeneration, or any other kind of regeneration ), then the damage that the axe inflicts cannot be regenerated for 2d2 days. This damage to regeneration is due to the enchantment of the axe, and the creature is not able to regenerate the damage that was done by the axe for that duration. For example, Ulath engaged in combat with a troll that has a maximum of 39 hp. Previously, the troll had lost 18 hp, so it is down 11 hp. Ulath attacked the troll and did 16 hp of damage to it. Somehow, the troll manages to slunk away from Ulath and escaped. Now, having lost 34 hp in the span of 3 min., it begins to regenerate. The DM figures that it will not be able to regenerate the 16 hp of damage from the axe for 2 days. So, if Ulath ever encounters the same troll within that time span, it would only have a maximum hp amount of 23. Once that time span is up, however, the troll is able to regenerate the 16 hp of damage from the axe. The regeneration will kick in as if the troll had just been hurt ( which means, the troll will begin regenerating after three rounds [ or three minutes, basically ] ). Creatures applicable for the axe to become +5 are: Trolls, Two- Headed Trolls, Fresh- or Salt-water Trolls, Desert Trolls, Spectral Trolls, Giant Trolls, Ice Trolls, or any other type of creature that is in some way related to trolls ( ie. Half-Trolls, or any made up Troll- kin ). Things applicable for the regeneration damage are: regeneration due to magical spells or items; regeneration from high constitution; natural regeneration; and any type of regeneration in general. They do not necessarily have to be Trolls to be applicable for the regeneration damage. However, non-Trolls whose regeneration is damaged because of the axe do not take the damage from the +5 enchantment bonus. The axe still acts as +2 verse non-trolls or Troll-kin. In addition to the troll-damaging power, the owner of the axe is able to sense or smell Trolls if they are anywhere near the axe's owner. This gives them the ability to not be able to be surprised by trolls, but gives the owner a +1 bonus to surprising a troll. In addition to that, if the owner is ever able to willing come to peace with one of the be-deviled creatures ( ie. the troll bows before the owner of the axe or it senses the strong magic of the axe and surrenders ), then the owner of the axe gains the ability to speak Trollish, or Troll-Speak, if they were not previously able to. |
