Poetry: From My Heart to God's Ear

Without the Spirit of the Lord
Without the Spirit of the Lord,
I am but an empty shell.
My life would have no purpose or meaning,
My soul would be bound for hell.
Without the Spirit of the Lord,
Evil would take over my life.
Material gain would be my only goal,
My days would be filled with strife.
Without the Spirit of the Lord,
Satan would gain another drone.
Charity would elude my very manner,
My heart would be cold as stone.
Without the Spirit of the Lord,
Humanity would lose its buffer.
Division would exist between God and man,
The world would be made to suffer.
Without the Spirit of the Lord,
Everlasting life would exist no more.
The promise of sweet salvation lost,
Life would be a fruitless chore.
Without the Spirit of the Lord,
Temptation would be humanities flavor.
Christ's sacrifice would have been in vain,
The world would have no Savior.
Without the Spirit of the Lord,
Mercy and hope would be lost.
No one to forgive us of our sin,
Damnation would be the cost.
We all must wear God's Holy armor,
To protect us against Satan's sword.
I can not imagine what my life would be like,
Without the Spirit of the Lord.

Christ will Return
I hear the voices of angels,
Singing in my heart and mind.
They sing the word of God,
His word is gentle and kind.
Jesus is the Prince of Peace,
Gain strength from His true love.
Fall down on your unworthy knees,
And pray to God above.
I see Satan's evil prosper,
In its constant elevation.
I want the world to know,
That I pray for its salvation.
Satan's evil train rolls,
Strongly down the track.
God patiently waits,
For morality to come back.
We are the children of God,
Satan should have no place.
Chase his evil from your heart,
Accept God's loving Grace.
The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
Should fill your every pore.
Seeking the Kingdom of God,
Is a pleasure not a chore.
Babies scream and mothers cry,
The end of suffering I await.
Time to stop the torture and pain,
Humanity can ill afford to wait.
The world is in need of heroes,
To fight the evil from within.
Without Christian leaders,
Satan will walk right in.
The rain is filled with God's tears,
His sorrow flows down His chin.
He sent us His only Son,
To wash away our sin.
This precious gift we should not waste.
For it is written He will return.
He returns to rapture His faithful church,
And the rest will be left to burn.

My Spirit Finally Shines
I have lived blind for so long,
My life I lived for me.
I soaked in the world's pleasure,
And lived not for thee.
I lived for self-indulgence,
My life I lived for sin.
I was on the fast track for worldly
gain,
My soul was in a downward spin.
I based my success on power and
pride,
My only goal was personal gain.
My sin held no boundary,
I now pray that God sooths my
internal pain.
Jesus heals, saves, and loves,
I now know this to be true.
I am haunted by my sins of the past,
I can not shake feeling so blue.
The Holy Spirit is alive and well,
He resides now in my heart.
I now feel remorse for those, still in
the dark,
Who live their life through the lines
on a mobility chart.
My spiritual awakening,
Is a wonderful event.
It opened my eyes and heart,
I soon came to realize my soul was
hell bent.
I pray that all the people of the world,
Will come to believe in God's good
grace.
Our goal should be one in the same,
To behold Christ's sweet, loving face.
I have finally escaped evil temptation,
And have gathered all the holy signs.
Jesus is my Lord and Savior,
My spirit finally shines!

Birth Night
By the strong bindings of Rome,
The children of God were enslaved.
Praying for the Messiah,
Freedom God's children craved.
A brilliant star lead the way,
That Holy night was clear.
Proclaiming the arrival of a King,
Angelic hosts did appear.
Laying in a manger,
Wrapped in swaddling cloths.
Ten perfect fingers,
Ten perfect toes.
A star shone bright,
Miles above His head.
To mark the Holy spot,
Where both shepherds and kings
would be lead.
Straw and animal feed,
Lay spread across the ground.
In this humble stable,
Our King would be found.
More than thirty years from this day,
He will sacrifice His life for you.
He will be beaten, wiped, and
tortured,
But His love for you will hold true.
Family and friends will celebrate,
On this day of grace.
Please take time to remember,
Why you are in this place.
Envision a humble setting,
Envision the Holy birth,
Envision that cool, clear evening,
When Jesus came to earth.
Prophecies are fulfilled,
Our Fathers promises He would keep.
Lying in that manger,
Falling fast asleep.
The Creator of the world,
King of Heaven and earth.
Wrapped up in a small bundle,
A gift by virgin birth.
More than two thousand years ago,
A precious gift we received.
Free for all that seek,
No charge for all whom believe.
Before you wrap those gifts,
Fall to your knees and pray.
Thank the Father in heaven,
For His gift that Holy day.
