Jimmy & Carol Griffin

Jimmy and Carol began Square Dancing in 1983 and Round Dancing in 1985. They are members of The Round Dance Council of Florida, of which Carol was President in 1995, and Roundalab. They are on the staff of Blue Ribbon Records (a division of Hi Hat Records). They were Vice Chairman of Rounds at the 46th National Square Dance Convention in, Orlando, FL, in 1997.

Presently they have 2 Round Dance Groups dancing weekly - Phase III Workshop and Spinarounds Phase 4 & 5 Club. They also BOTH cue at several local clubs. They are on staff of one of Florida's most popular Festivals "The Sunshine Festival" which has now become “The Florida Winter Festival” an annual event in January.

They have choreographed some very popular dances such as: Volcano Samba, Blue Side Of Lonesome, Musical Fantasy, A Fool Such As I, Return to Sender, Time To Rumba, I Really Don't Want To Know and La Mer D'Amour. They have taught and cued at several National Conventions, numerous weekend specials, educational clinics/seminars, State Conventions and Charity Events.

In addition to their busy dance schedule, they both are employed full time Jimmy by the City of St. Petersburg as a Water Maintenance Technician and Carol at Westgate Elementary as the Data Prep Clerk. She has retired from Crossing Guard duty after 20 years.

Bruce, 33 is our oldest son and lives in Levittown, PA with his wife Illiana, who is expecting their first child in May 2007.  He is the lead singer/song writer for a rock band and works in Philadelphia designing web pages for Citicorp.  Illiana is now working as an actress in Manhattan and office manager in Philadelphia at least until the baby is born.

Jeffrey, 25 is our middle child and is a Combat Medic with the 415 Medical Company (MCD) of Pinellas Park.  He is a Senior at USF in Tampa and continues working toward Medical School.  He works at CompUSA full time and still has time to play roller hockey.

Jimmy, 24 is our youngest son and is a Lance Corporal in the Marines.  His unit is the Orlando 6th Motor Transport Unit and part of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.  He is working at Cox Radio as Promotions Engineer and Chili's Restaurant as server/bartender.  He is also still playing roller hockey.
