A site dedicated to Anarchy Online and its quiet heroes, the martial artists.

June 26, 32001 A.D.

Anarchy Online will be released tomorrow. In commemoration of this magnificent event, I have put up a martial artist class guide for your viewing pleasure. Go to the Info section to view it. Also, new screenshots have been added.

I also found out during beta that martial artists are not specialists in the use of melee weapons like swords. The discovery of this important fact made me arrive at the realization that the title for my site is wholly innapropriate due to the fact that samurai were swordsmen... oh well... any suggestions for a better name would be appreciated...

By the way, I would like to provide an explanation for the prolonged interval between posts. I was out of town for about a week right after beta 4 started, and then I played the game for a while to check it out, learning how to play a martial artist. After that, a cloud of laziness descended upon my person, preventing any possibility of updating the site. Sorry =)

Soon...
The main site now has links to the beta 4 files. Go and download them if you have not done so already. It sounds like the game will be released to the masses by tomorrow (thursday), but I'm hoping for today.

Must... check... e-mail...

June 4, 32001 A.D.

Well, folks... you're gonna have to wait a little bit longer for beta 4.

My prediction (as if that means anything) is that they will start letting in the hoi polloi to beta around wednesday or thursday. I'm just excited to check out all the cool screenshots.

Class Guide - Unfortunately, I am not in beta, so I can not produce a superior martial artist class guide. However, sector 7 has a pretty good overview right here. Check it out, you might learn something.

Must... check... e-mail...

ITS READY FOR DOWNLOAD. Well, beta 4 is downloadable. Im not sure funcom wants everybody to get the site address. Look on the funcom Boards and you should be able to find it. I don't think it is possible to play yet unless you have a beta3 account set up. More news soon...

Grab your armor and weaponry friends! BETA 4 IS COMING! The Anarchy Online main site says that they will start beta on week 23, which apparently means june 4th. only a week more!

Also, today I added a message board to the site.

Big important BETA news:

On the AO main site, the beta gods have asked anyone who has signed up for beta to check their e-mail and other personal information on the funcom site. So go update your information if you have changed your e-mail address or computer configuration!

Some news to report today...

First of all, I reformatted the page so it looks better, is more compatible, and is chock full of really nice HTML code... unfortunately it's also still chock full of some not-so-nice code. I updated the guild section a bit, adding a little section about how this web site will be cool for guild members. I also hope to have a message board up soon if possible.

But that's not what you came here for now is it? You want information about AO! Well, pay attention, because here it comes: According to a newsletter recently released which you can read at AO-Basher, several things have been confirmed about AO:

  • AO will be 13 bucks a month, which is a bit steep but reasonable in my estimation.
  • Beta 3 people will get into beta 4, and then more people will be added daily.
  • Most people who signed up will probably get in, though perhaps not right away.
  • The NDA will be smashed and burned and eaten, meaning that website owners will be able to proliferate whatever knowledge they might possess about AO.

That last bit of information was actually from an e-mail to the people at AO-B.

Well, a lot has happened since I last updated the site. Unfortunately, besides a few screens here and there, there has not been very much new information about the martial artist class. Hopefully, the in the next few days, with E3 recently and beta 4 soon, there will be more information to report.

AOVault has an interview with Tommy Strand, the producer. There's info on the release date and how the game is coming along. Check it out.

A Norwegian AO site, ITavisen.no (I think that's the name), has put out a very cool preview of the game. Covers quite a bit. CLICK.
