Good Evening, Friends...
Well, we've been plagued with seemingly endless problems over at Rozznet's server. My plan is to design here until they are resolved. I've also decided to include a bit of a revamp in the process. Rozznet.com is expected to return once the problems are sorted out, but until then, this will be the temporary home. As always, I appreciate everyone's patience...

Here we are, hours before the news began to trickle across the globe. A devastating day to so many of us. We at Rozznet, would again like to extend our love, respect, and gratitude to Rozz's family, friends, and fans.

There's some site news. Guestbook is broken. Not only is the gustbook down, but they have deleted our account, so unfortunately, it will be awhile before we can get that back up and running. I am going to try and design one of my own...it would be my first - so wish me luck! Info for EXP was changed slightly, and will be further edited in time. EXP is putting the final touches on a new album, which will contain reworked material from "The Whorse's Mouth".

Finally, an open letter fron Contance Redgrave:

Dear Fans, Friends and Collectors of Rozz Williams and ‘Early Christian Death’,

My name is Constance Redgrave and I was the bass player from the Catastrophe Ballet album and tour of November 1983 to June 1984. I was that blond, white skinned girl that shows up in those old photographs, but strangely not in the album’s later writing credits or even in the music credits on some websites. I was left behind in Paris, stranded by the powers that controlled that band, alone and broken, with no money to get back to Hollywood.

I went to London, built a new life and for the sake of my sanity and survival, I took everything connected to that tour and shut it up in a beat-up leather suitcase. I have slept with it’s breathing under my bed, unopened and deliberately ignored, for over twenty years.

In 2005, I began to receive emails from people wanting to know my story. What happened on that tour? What do I remember about Rozz Williams and the others? Who was I then and who am I know? I decided it was time to honour that musician that I loved so dearly all those years ago, pen that suitcase and morph it into something that I could hold on to, embrace and share with those people that seemed to feel the same way I do. That the artist genius Rozz Williams is greatly missed and deserves a place of honour in the annuls of music history.

I have spent the last two and a half years writing, drawing, screaming, crying, singing, and raging my way towards this goal. I have now created my beautiful Black Box of Dark Things. It is a piece of my history, embraced and protected. I am a stronger artist for the process and I now know that when I am gone, the story will exist someplace outside of my head and under my bed. The rumbling in that suitcase is now finally quiet. The diary and my photographs, ripped press cuttings, posters, cassette tapes, stage clothes and a single vinyl album have been properly recalled, preserved, interpreted and chronicled. I am happy with its quality and content, and know that it does justice to both Rozz and my parts of that story.

On this the tenth anniversary of Rozz Williams’s death and the twenty-fifth anniversary of my joining his band, I make you this offer. If I get 334 presales at £75 each (about $150 US) of my Black Box, I will have 1334, numbered, high quality copies manufactured and take my chances that there are another 1000 people out there who will buy the rest. I can always build a new bed out of them if there aren’t. The website A Black Box goes up on April 1st.

My thanks go out to all of you who have been so supportive over the last few years, and in particular to John Collins. The demons are finally silent and I sleep much better.

There's a lot of news to report and some of it is exciting, some of it ...is a little depressing. Let's get to it. Officially, Rozznet and Frontier Records are no longer supporting the Seventeen Records venture in releasing 'Only Theatre Of Pain', 25th Anniversary edition. If you received your copy (that's you Anton) - consider yourself extremely fortunate and the proud owner of an extreme rarity. Neither Lisa Fancher or members of Rozznet have been able to ascertain a single individual outside of France receiving their pre-ordered copy. DO NOT send them money for this release. Please contact Rozznet or post in the Land Of Rozz forum if you've managed to receive a copy. As of this morning, Seventeen Records was no longer sending out vague apologies or reasons for the continued delay and are refusing to answer repeated attempts to contact them. We will keep you posted with info on this matter as it becomes available.

Next up: How would you like to write or contribute to the end-all anthology on Deathrock? Great - I thought you might say that! Contact Mikey (Life Cereal rumors aside) through either his email: Mikey or through his MySpace if you have any meterial or information to contribute. The book is entitled: "Phantoms: The Rise Of Deathrock From The L.A. Punk Scene".

Two bits of news to report. Pre-ordered copies of "Only Theatre Of Pain" from Seventeen records have finally began to ship. Yep - a whole year later, but alas we'll have them. It's not too late to get yourself a copy at a reasonable price before they start showing-up on e-Bay.

Secondly - due to the overwhelming response of Cleopatra's recent vinyl releases, a compact disc was released this week, "Six Six Sixth Communion". Wait- didn't that already come out?! Sure did - Cleopatra decided the cd format should have a few different songs... again - already released songs - just different than the vinyl. Be sure to let them know how rich you are and appreciative. I found my copy locally and on Amazon at a very reasonable price.

Is it true?! Yes, work HAS FINALLY begun on Rozznet's Discography. While John Collins tirelessly continues to track down the details and obtain info for the Perfomance Section, I will slowly begin ironing out the format for Rozz's extensive body of work. The link to Rozznet's Gravestore has been updated.

All item's are listed at a set price, so you don't have to worry about inflated highest bidder madness. The merchandise is limited in nature, so when it's gone, it's gone for good. There's something 'new' out there to wet your appetite. Several new products from Cleopatra Records have been released. A full length LP entitled, "Six Six Sixth Communion" on coloured vinyl and limited to 300 copies and a new seven-inch with a limited pressing of 666 copies, on clear-green vinyl for 'Romeo's Distress (Demo)', b/w 'Haloes'. Obviously, these are more of a novelty item meant for collectors, since Cleopatra has already released all these songs on other formats. A search of e-Bay will turn up several listings for the 7-inch, but if you wish to forego the auction experience, a store in the U.K. is selling them: Rhythm Online So far, the online stores in the U.S. are selling out of them quickly. Interpunk is currently stocking the LP. Both we're released on 28 August 2007.

Deathrock Magazine The new zine was launched this month, and features articles on music, fashion, and culture related to the Deathrock genre. The premier issue features an in-depth article on Rozzz Williams written by Ryan Wildstar. Also included are articles on Eva O., Gitane Demone, Mephisto Walz, Faith and the Muse, and many more. Beautifully- colored, and glossy pages throughout. It is available in subscription form, or you can order the first issue individually.
Deathrock Magazine

I was fortunate enough to recently acquire "Pathological Resonance", from Anomalous Records. It includes the 1334 track, ' Resistance'. The collection is rare, limited to 108 copies. I will be encoding the track and adding it to the flash player this weekend, so keep an ear out.

John Collins has feverishly continued his research on the gigography. He's in touch with various members of Christian Death from it's early years. Look for new and expanded info in the Performance Section soon.

Work continues on the Performance section of Rozznet. It's a slow go unfortunattely, but thanks to the amount of time, effort, and research that John Collins is pouring into this venture - Rozznet will be providing the most accurate and detailed performance history for Rozz Williams that has been offered thus far by any source. Rozznet extends their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to John Collins for his assistance.

As many of you have probably noticed, there's a new edition of "OTOP" floating about eBay. The cover is the classic "Rozz's Art", but in silver ink, and the vinyl is clear opaque. They were sold at the Christian Death 1334 Anniversary Show, and are currently available on eBay (Signed by members of Christian Death 1334) to the highest bidder, or in very limited quantities through Frontier Records. Is there no end to the marvel that is Lisa Fancher?

A handful of additional performance pages have been completed. Work will continue in the coming weeks until all shows are documented.

Frontier Records is currently selling "Only Theatre Of Pain" on red vinyl. This is the third in a series of limited colored vinyl releases. They soon will have available the 25th Anniversary edition of "OTOP" in VERY LIMITED quantities.

Seventeen Records is taking pre-orders for the 25th Anniversary edition of "Only Theatre Of Pain" on vinyl. Utilizing fan input, the first 1000 pressings will feature the rare French, l'Invitation au Suicide cover. All remaining pressings will be adorned by Rozz's cover in gold and black. Pre-order your copy today! A cd digipack version is also in the works.

Good evening everyone! Two bits of news to share with our visitors. Unless you've been under a rock, you probably already know that Christian Death 1334 will be performing on 13 April 2007, in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of ' Only Theatre of Pain'.

Also - Sixth Chamber has released a long-awaited EP through CD Baby. The company offers incredible service, so don't hesitate to support the band and a company that supports their music.

The bulk of design and build is done on Rozznet, for it's unveiling at midnight EST on 1 April 2007. There are two major areas that will be completed in the coming months; Discography and Performances. On the Performances page, all shows are listed, but each date's individual information needs to be designed. You may have also noticed that the dial-up page looks awfully familiar. If a large number of our visitors are still using the dial-up section, it will be redesigned as well. If you run into problems with the site, please let us know. Flash is a new aspect for us and we've tested extensively - but due to the size of Rozznet, clearly something could be overlooked. We hope you enjoy the new site, and thank you for visiting...
