The Baron Mannerheim is a standard TL 15 type S scout/courier. The Baron Mannerheim class is built at our shipyards on Rhylanor/Rhylanor/Spinward Marches and Capitol/Core/Core (M0: Sylea). She is similar in design to the Scout/Courier's built by many corporations through out known space. The Baron Mannerheim is ideally suited for mail delivery services. However, with a crew of three, provisions for 2 passengers, 5 tons of cargo and an empty turret socket she is highly customizable and capable of many tasks. A large stateroom is provided for the comfort of the skipper/owner.

The Baron Mannerheim has fuel scoops and can purify a full load of unrefined fuel in about 17 hours. This makes the Baron Mannerheim ideal for use in situations where there are no sources for refined fuel.

An extra workstation is installed. This is be used as the medic/steward's workstation. There is plenty of surplus power to operate the optional weapons systems and sensors (over 56MW).

The empty turret socket can either be equipped with a turret or a lifeboat. The turret usually contains a gunnery workstation and multiple weapon systems, such as a dual short range VRF PD laser, two missile canisters and a small sandcaster. A standard 2.75 ton life boat can be installed in the turret socket, such as the LB12/C or LB12/L produced by SSC. If no lifeboat is installed then Imperial regulations require that the air raft be capable of serving in that capacity.
