Design Notes
The Abo was designed to carry cargo between Vienna (Nass/Verge 26/35) and Joslins (Taiwan/Verge 30/30), a distance of 6 parsecs. Vienna is on the main trade route from Ariis (Ariis/Verge 24/39) across the Great Rift to the rest of the Imperium’s Verge sector. Due to the high cost of operating these ships they are used primarily where ships with shorter jump ranges can not be employed. Refueling is done at the space stations located at each end of the route.
The Abo has a capacity of 224 tons of cargo, in 14 holds each holding 16 tons. Each hold has a large hatch and automatic cargo handling equipment. There are provisions for up to four middle passengers, however this is not intended as a passenger vessel.
