Design Notes
The Gashant class jump shuttles were designed in our Ariis shipyards (Ariis/Verge). It is a modification to the standard jump shuttle for the Ariisian Colonial Fleet to allow it to do jump-4. This is important for the Ariisians because their world is located in the rift between the 3rd Imperium to coreward, the Aslan Heirate to rimward and spinward, and Reaver’s Deep sector to rimward and trailing. Jump-2 is not sufficient to get to any of the nearby systems. Jump-4 is sufficient to reach all of the neighboring Imperial systems, as well as, the rimward neighboring sectors.
In other aspects the Gashant is a standard jump shuttle. The design is intended to move standard 400 ton spacecraft from one system to another. The primary use, of course, is to move SDB’s; however, it may be used to move any compatible 400 ton spacecraft, such as Svenson’s Small Craft’s line of lab boats.
