Design Notes
The Indomitable class patrol cruiser is available at our major shipyards at Rhylanor (Rhylanor/Spinward Marches), Ariis (Ariis/Verge) and Sylea (Capital/Core). It is a moderate tech ship used primarily to protect merchant shipping from corsairs. Many of these vessels have been built throughout the years, made by many different manufacturers.
The Indomitable class carries a powerful sensor suite for such a small vessel. It has good offensive weapons systems, both a missile turret and a heavy laser turret, each with LIDAR and an MFD. It has a short range automated triple VRF PD Laser battery with LIDAR, flight computer and MFD for missile defense and anti personnel duty and a sandcaster turret for laser defense. ECM includes black paint, stealth, drive masking, and a passive jammer. The hull is much more heavily armored than most ships of it's size.
It has fuel scoops and a fuel purifier for frontier refueling.
There are eight ship's troops on board to act as a boarding party.
The crew has a gym and lounge for recreation adjacent to the galley. There is an air raft hanger with a standard 2 ton air raft. It carries three standard life boats in case of a disaster (or large corsair) causing the ship to be abandoned.
