This design uses wasted space taken up by the needle airframe to store fuel for the fusion plus reactor.
The shuttle has an ordinary kitchen, with storage for food to serve the crew and passengers twice (once on the trip out and once on the return trip), and a fresher placed by the kitchen in the rear of the passenger compartment.
