Design Notes
The M-1034 Mosquito is a small tactical fighter. Its design is based upon the M-1034 design found in Set Number Seven, Orbital Assault & Landing Craft copyright 1992 by The ADJUTANT.
The Mosquito is designed for close orbital support and defensive combat operations against intruder craft. It is also used for ground support, air superiority and suppression of air defense roles. It is normally carried by capital ships, such as the Wasp class; however, it has also found extensive service in many planetary defense forces due to its performance and relatively low cost. It is very fast and highly maneuverable even in zero G.
The Mosquito carries extensive offensive weapons with a fixed 50 Mj pulse laser, four wing mounted medium-range missiles and two missile pods for short-range missiles. Defensively it makes use of extensive stealth technology, heavy armor, a sandcaster and a passive jammer.
