The Mikkeli is designed to push up to a 792 ton cargo pod from orbit to jump point. It is capable of operating in a planetary atmosphere; however, to push a streamlined cargo pod will greatly reduce the capacity, to 670 tons. and an airframed cargo pod may not exceed 580 tons. Unlike the shuttles, the Tug is complete with a stateroom for the captain and bunks for the crew to allow for longer endurance operations.
