     Here's a little bit about me... Matthew Lindsay the Floridian!

And THANKS for visiting and taking the time toward getting to know me.

I'm a 46 year old, 7th generation, Floridian, from my father's maternal side. There's not many of us original "Florida Cracker's" left. I was born in Miami but raised mostly in and around the Bradenton - Sarasota area just South of St. Petersburg and the Tampa Bay region on the beautiful Gulf Coast. I had been living near Terra Ceia Bay for almost 19 years.

     I was born in MIAMI, FLORIDA, USA, Nov. 5, 1960, to the parents of Jessie James LINDSAY, Jr. and  Wilma R. WEISS.

1. Matthew Scott, born Nov. 05, 1960 in MIAMI, FL., DADE County; went in the Navy, Nov. 25, 1977; married Arlene Rebecca LARSSON, Apr. 06, 2002, MANATEE County, FL.
   Arlene was born, Sept. 04, 1960, FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, BROWARD County. Arlene has one daughter, Rachel Lee DUNAWAY.
2. Tammy Elizabeth, born Mar. 08, 1962, MIAMI, FL., DADE County; married Wayne  Eugene LANGNER, Feb. 14, 2002, BROWARD County, FL.;
   Wayne was born, Nov. 12, 1968, MINNESOTA, STEARNS County; Tammy has 4 children with her first husband John Phillip KLINKENBERG. Shannon Leigh, Cassandra Ann, Kayla Elizabeth and Drew Michael. They all live in MINNESOTA.
3. Naomi Ruth, born June 15, 1964, VALDOSTA, GA., LOWNDES County.; married Danny Ray OVERTON, Oct. 10, 1984, DAVIE, FL., BROWARD County, FL.;
   Danny Ray, born Feb. 10, 1960, HOLLYWOOD, FL., BROWARD County.
   Naomi and Danny have 1 daughter, Hillary Dawn OVERTON, born July 16, 1988, BROWARD County, FL.

   

   *A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT NAOMI

   My sister Naomi would like some help from anyone who is able.
   She is searching for a daughter she gave up for adoption at the time of birth.
   The daughter is now 21 years old as of February 15, 2000.
   The only information she has is:

   • Date of birth: February 15, 1979.
   • Time of birth: 5:21pm.
   • Place of birth: Broward Gen. Hosp. (Ft. Lauderdale, FL.).
   • Weight: 7lbs. 12oz.
   • Adoption Attorney: Theodore M. Trushin (now deceased).
   • His office at the time was located in North Miami, FL.
   • The adoptive parents are believed to be Jewish and the father is believed to be a teacher.
   • Her name at the time of the adoption was listed as Naomi Ruth Lindsay aka Naomi Ruth Schmidt
     (Our step-fathers surname, he never legally adopted us)

   Naomi is registered with the National Registry but at this time no match has been found. This is all of the information that we have.
   If anyone has access to locating people it would be greatly appreciated if you could help her in this matter.
   Not a day goes by that she doesn't think about her and the sacrifice she made.

4. Mark Adam, born July 28, 1965, VALDOSTA, GA., LOWNDES County; Mark was born a special child with special needs and lives in DADE County, FL.
5. David Wayne, born and died Sept. 11, 1966 at J. F. K. Hospital in LAKE WORTH, FL., PALM BCH. County.

Jessie and Lydia divorced in PALM BCH. Co., Aug. 07, 1980.
