| They say that God works in mysterious ways, and & even for this wheelchair disabled Marine of WW II. Given a mission that "No One" could do Alone! Yet because of his love of country, and his Faith & Belief; this website is a reality & made possible by the People mentioned throughout.
Because of my being basically Home Bound, I had to work from Home. However: as they say "Once a Marine, Always a Marine." For 20 plus years I've tried to Share this God Given Busting Attitude Barriers thru Involvement private corporation. Most people think it As, "To Good To Be True" or "What Does He Want". I swear on all that's Holy- NOTHING!! A Marine; serving His God, Country, and People! Under "Unknown Hero's of Mt. Suribachi" it states the historic truth About the 2 Flag raisings on Iwo Jima, & ALL the Hero's. And now The Navajo Indian "Code Talkers" of Arizona. On December 22, 2000 Senator: Jeff Bingaman introduced the bill, "Honoring the Navajo Code Talkers Act". It authorizes the President on behalf of Congress, to award A Gold medal to each of the 29 (original) Code Talkers, and a silver one, to each man who later qualified as a Navajo Code Talker.
During WW II they took part in every assault the U.S. Marines conducted In the Pacific from 1942 to 1945, All 6 divisions, Marine Raider battalions & Marine Parachute units, transmitting messages by phone & radio in their Native language, a code that the Japanese could never break, even with their elite group of well trained English speaking soldiers. The 5th Marine division on Iwo Jima had 6 alone, and saved the Marines from losing the invasion. Their Code Talkers working around the clock, During the first 2 days - Sent & Received over 800 messages, and "ALL" Without error. The Code was so successful military commanders credited it with saving The lives of countless American soldiers & the successful engagements from Guadalcanal to Iwo Jima in the Pacific. In fact, the Code was so successful that Department of Defense kept the Code secret for 23 years after the end of WW II, when it was Declassified in 1968 - And there lies the foundation of the problem. If their achievements had been hailed at the conclusion of the war, proper honors would have been at that time. But the Code Talkers were sworn to Secrecy, an Oath they kept and Honored, ..but at the same time - one that Robbed them of the very accolades & place in History they so rightly deserved. When the war was over, their Duty - their Oath of secrecy - continued. Reminds me of "Charles Lindberg," (1st Flag raising) and being recognized by Former President Clinton - IN 1995- ?? War ended with Japan in 1945. President-Bush reconizded the NAVAJO "Code Talkers" in 2001??? Website: http://home.tampabay.rr.com/babi
