| Regardless of whether your Liberal, Republican or Democrat, we're all Americans first! At least that's what I believed when I entered WW II at age 17. We were one nation under God and it was everyone's cause to protect our freedom and way of life at home and abroad! The "Spirit of Freedom" is a humble wheelchair disabled marine's Beliefs.
An ordinary Marine was ordered by "God" on Veterans Day, (Nov. 11, 1980) to give the people of America their own Non- Profit Organiztion, B.A.B.I (seen above) IRS: 59-239-1046. Upon receiving this order and unknown duty I asked, "WHY ME"? I know nothing about computers and the making of a website. |

Then he said, I will help, and help came. First from Gy/Sgt. Dick Gaines, (USMC-ret) photo-copying the letter from New Zealand about finding my lost dogtag from Guadalcanal, in the southwest Pacific Ocean. (gyg1345@yahoo.com) And then came my computer teacher Cherie Collins, (Software Sense) helping to make this Website.
Over the 30 + years of unknown duty, I received many hidden rewards beyond the above. Busting Attitude Barriers thru Involvement is now a collection stored in the Marine Corps archives (Quantico, VA). Not only did this "Dream" become a reality, but when the wife and I went to visit our son in San Antonio, TX - He took us to the ALAMO! For me, another life long "Dream" became a reality!
Speaking of my wife, she was this homebound marines greatest support since Busting Attitude Barriers thru Involvement, Inc.(IRS) began. And unknown to me her family is related to George Washington - The Father of our nation!! Her maiden name is Baker (Doris Baker-Dangler). I may not have fully accomplished my disabled mission, but I truely planted the Seed for a true United America.
I may not be able to see Busting Attitude Barriers thru Involvement's future but It's Coming! The highlight of this tour of duty was being able to honor and finally see the name of Ray Jacobs (one of the seven men responsible for the first flag raising at Iwo Jima) on a plaque in front of the Marine Corps base at Hilo, Hawaii. The Iwo Jima Memorial Fund honors the first flag raising on Mt. Suribachi, Iwo Jima. (Feb. 23, 1945). (Is. 40:31 & John 15:16)
And after 57 years, may his name be placed on the Historal Divisional Archives on the first flag raising on Mt. Suribachi, Iwo Jima-Feb.23, 1945. (U.S.M.C.)
